Hawksford Names Director

Jersey-based funds and fiduciary services provider Hawksford Group has appointed Colin Borman as director, a role in which he will take over a portfolio of existing clients and oversee the development of the firm’s funds business.

Borman has been a director at Sanne Real Estate for the past years, having previously been senior vice president in charge of the structured finance division at Maples Finance Jersey.

In other hires, last month Hawksford named Grant Osborn-Smith as the manager of its Swiss office. Dividing his time between Jersey and Zurich, he is responsible for setting up the processes and procedures for what the firm sees as a growing Swiss client base.

Osborn-Smith started as a chartered accountant in Jersey. After moving into the trust sector, he later relocated to Switzerland to set up a Zurich office for international accountancy firm Rawlinson and Hunter. He has worked with Hawksford on a number of projects in the past.

Hawksford acquired Zurich-based firm L-S&S GmbH earlier this year.
