Investment Management, a US registered investment advisory
firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has appointed Keith Schmidt
(pictured) as president.
Schmidt brings a track record with Zions Bank gained from his 25-year wealth management background.
The Horter management team now includes Drew Horter, CEO and chairman, Kevin Hetzer, director of operations, Hayden Horter, investment analyst and insurance specialist, and Griffin Horter, corporate strategist.
The firm has 40 investment advisor representatives and relationships with more than 30 independent advisory firms (representing over 50 additional investment advisor representatives). It has also expanded offerings beyond investment management to areas such as financial strategies and tax planning.

Capital Management, the RIA founded in 2011, has appointed
Paul Stetz as its new president. Stetz brings more than three
decades’ experience to the role.
Stetz’s experience covers leadership, RIA sales, relationship management, business consulting and M&A, the firm said in a statement late last week.

Prior to this role, Stetz co-founded Transcend Partner Group, launching an RIA roll-up business with a focus on M&A and providing strategic solutions to RIAs. Other roles included those of chief operating officer at Fairport Wealth and managing director at Mercer Advisors, where he led M&A strategies. He has also served in sales and relationship management leadership roles at Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions and Schwab Advisor Services.
Alphastar offers turnkey asset management program services, direct affiliation options, family office services. Its wealth management solutions includes insurance as a key asset class. The firm primarily serves independent financial advisors, who in turn cater to pre-retirees and high net worth individuals.

has welcomed financial advisors Pam Mitchell and Vijay Baxter its
employee advisor channel.
Mitchell has joined from UBS, where she managed about $230 million in client assets. She leads Mitchell Financial Planning of Raymond James in Naples, Florida and is joined by practice business manager Charissa Konz.
Baxter managed over $133 million in client assets at Morgan Stanley, specializing in serving high net worth families, executives and business owners, including those in Central and Latin America. Based in Aventura, Florida, he is joining Raymond James as head of Vijay Baxter | Raymond James. Baxter's financial services career includes 16 years working across wealth management and banking functions. He previously worked at Wachovia, BankUnited and Bank of America before joining Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor in 2014.
Mitchell began and built a 15-year career as a financial advisor at UBS Financial Services. Before becoming an advisor, she was a marketing director and strategic planning consultant for medium-sized companies.
