CAIS, the US-based
alternative investment platform, and broker-dealer Hilltop
Securities, have formed a partnership.
The pact connects HilltopSecurities’ financial advisor network with alternative investment products spanning hedge funds, private equity and debt, and real estate. HilltopSecurities’ network of nearly 275 advisors and its affiliate B/D firm, Momentum Independent Network, will receive access to a curated menu of funds. The CAIS platform also offers due diligence for quality assurance, and end-to-end transaction processing and automated reporting integrations.
HilltopSecurities professionals will also be onboarded to CAIS IQ, a tech-driven learning system which helps advisors learn and retain critical information about alternative investments.
CAIS is the kind of tech-powered platform playing a role in widening access to areas such as private equity and hedge funds, which in the past have typically been the terrain of large institutions and ultra-wealthy private investors. Other organizations in this space include US-based iCapital, Germany-based Moonfare and Singapore’s ADDX.
