iCapital, Nuveen Expand Partnership
The platform offers advisors and clients access to a menu of private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and other alternative investments.
Nuveen, the investment manager overseeing more than $1 trillion of assets under management, has expanded its partnership with iCapital Network, the fintech platform focused on alternative assets such as private equity.
iCapital will provide a customized technology service, advisory and distribution solution for advisors and their accredited investor clients seeking access to Nuveen’s real estate and private capital offerings, the New York-based firm said in a statement.
“We are thrilled to partner with Nuveen to support their priority of providing institutional-style access to alternatives to advisors and their clients,” Lawrence Calcano, chairman and chief executive of iCapital Network, said.
Nuveen has more than $220 billion in alternative assets under management. It is the investment manager of TIAA. In the case of iCapital, its platform offers advisors and clients access to a menu of private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and other alternative investments at lower minimums. As of March 31, 2021, it serviced $73 billion in assets across more than 760 funds.
