BDO USA, the professional services firm, has named Jeffrey Kane as national managing partner of its private client arm.
Kane, who previously led the firm’s national tax office, has more than 40 years of experience providing tax and financial consulting services to high net worth individuals. The appointment, which is a new position, is effective immediately.
“By bringing in a national leader and committing additional resources, we believe we will unlock the vast potential of our private client services both domestically and internationally,” said Wayne Berson, chief executive of BDO USA.
The firm’s private client services is division covers all aspects of estate and gift, income and trust taxation; charitable giving and philanthropic foundations; executive compensation; and cash-flow, retirement, and life insurance planning.
“BDO has always had a strong PCS team working with high net worth individuals, closely-held business owners and C-suite executives in pockets around the country, but it has never been organized nationally,” Kane said.
It is unclear if he retains his former role or is being replaced in that capacity.
