Standard Chartered Private Bank Sponsors Glitzy Charity Art Dinner

Standard Chartered Private Bank is sponsoring the Sovereign Asia Art Prize Singapore 2012 which involves a glitzy dinner and charity auction, the profits of which go to a children’s art literacy charity.
The SAAP exhibition and charity auction raises funds for Art Outreach Singapore, an educational non-profit organisation that aims to increase art literacy and promote art appreciation to primary and secondary school students in Singapore through a free art education programme. The programme is also delivered to children in welfare homes and offered in community libraries, said the bank in a statement.
“This sponsorship gives us the opportunity to be aligned with the biggest art prize in Asia, and associates us closely with an organisation that dedicates itself to its socially responsible mission to educate and rehabilitate disadvantaged children through the use of arts,” said Jacqui Brabazon, global head of marketing and philanthropy at Standard Chartered Private Bank.
The 30 finalists for the prize and 20 best Singaporean entries will be on display at Level 3 Main Foyer, The Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 10 – 13 January 2012.
A charity auction and gala dinner for 350 people will be held on 14 January at which the 20 Singaporean works will be auctioned.
