California-based Oak Hill Investment Management has hired Mark Anson as a managing partner and chair of the investment committee. Dr Anson comes to OHIM from Nuveen Investments, an asset management firm, where he was president and executive director of investment services.

Prior to Nuveen, Dr Anson was chief executive officer of Hermes Pensions Management, where he was also CEO of the British Telecom pension scheme, the largest pension fund in the UK. Prior to joining Hermes, he was chief investment officer of the California Public Employees' Retirement System, CALPERS, the largest pension fund in the US.
