Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – McGuireWoods, Ameriprise

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in North America.

McGuireWoods
Law firm McGuireWoods has appointed New York partner Helen Gavaris to add to its fiduciary litigation capabilities. Gavaris brings over three decades of experience representing corporate fiduciaries and high net worth individuals in complex disputes.

Gavaris advises corporate fiduciaries in contested accounting and related proceedings involving trust diversification, charitable trusts, and the valuation and sale of non-public companies. She has counseled clients in litigation involving prominent high net worth individuals and families, including the estates of Leona Helmsley, Harry Winston and Thomas Carvel.

Before this role, Gavaris worked at Loeb & Loeb.

Gavaris is the second partner to join McGuireWoods' New York office this year, following the arrival of acquisition finance lawyer Jeff Goldfarb.

Ameriprise
Ameriprise Financial said this week that financial advisor Amanda Hale has moved her $250-million practice to the firm from PNC Investments in Port Arthur, Texas.

Hale chose to join Third Coast Advisors, a financial advisory practice within the Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group (AFIG), which provides advice and investment services to Third Coast Bank branches across Southeast Texas.

Hale’s practice includes client service associate and practice manager Jessica Guidroz. Hale is also the president of the board of directors for Family Services of Southeast Texas.
