Law firm McGuireWoods has
appointed New York partner Helen Gavaris to add to its fiduciary
litigation capabilities. Gavaris brings over three decades of
experience representing corporate fiduciaries and high net worth
individuals in complex disputes.
Gavaris advises corporate fiduciaries in contested accounting and related proceedings involving trust diversification, charitable trusts, and the valuation and sale of non-public companies. She has counseled clients in litigation involving prominent high net worth individuals and families, including the estates of Leona Helmsley, Harry Winston and Thomas Carvel.
Before this role, Gavaris worked at Loeb & Loeb.
Gavaris is the second partner to join McGuireWoods' New York office this year, following the arrival of acquisition finance lawyer Jeff Goldfarb.

Financial said this week that financial advisor Amanda Hale
has moved her $250-million practice to the firm from PNC
Investments in Port Arthur, Texas.
Hale chose to join Third Coast Advisors, a financial advisory practice within the Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group (AFIG), which provides advice and investment services to Third Coast Bank branches across Southeast Texas.
Hale’s practice includes client service associate and practice manager Jessica Guidroz. Hale is also the president of the board of directors for Family Services of Southeast Texas.
