Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Raymond James, First Republic Bank
The latest senior moves in the North American wealth management sector.
First Republic Bank
First Republic Bank has appointed a six-person team, with several of them having previously worked at Morgan Stanley.
The team, which has joined First Republic Investment Management, is led by Alexander Kadish, Nicholas Davey and J P Garofalo.
Kadish and Davey were each named managing director and wealth manager. Garofalo was named vice president and wealth manager. Based in Century City, the team will provide portfolio management, retirement planning, investment consulting and other wealth management services to individuals, families, non-profits and private family foundations.
Kadish has more than 20 years of wealth management experience. Prior to this move, Kadish was an MD and private wealth advisor at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Before that, he was an executive director at JP Morgan Securities.
Davey has more than 15 years of wealth management experience providing customized solutions for individuals and families. He was a senior vice president and PWA at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Prior to that, he was an investment associate at JP Morgan Securities.
Garofalo has 10 years of wealth management experience. He has been a wealth advisor and alternative investments director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ares Management and was a consulting group associate at Morgan Stanley.
Raymond James has welcomed financial advisor Richard Weisberg to its independent advisor channel. Weisberg is based in Naples, Florida.
Operating as Weisberg Wealth Management, Weisberg is joined by client service associates Nancy Comparetto and Cheryl Krebs. The practice serves individuals and families in addition to institutions such as corporate retirement plans, non-profits, endowments and foundations. Previously, the group was affiliated with UBS Financial Services where they managed more than $350 million in client assets.
A 28-year industry veteran, Weisberg was formerly a senior vice president – wealth management, wealth advisor, senior retirement plan consultant, institutional consultant and endowment, and foundation consultant at Merrill Lynch and UBS Financial Services. He has earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistTM professional designation in addition to a bachelor of science degree from The Ohio State University. An active member of his community, Weisberg has served on various local academic and economic boards.
