Citi Private Bank has promoted Chris Petro to the role of global market manager for the New York Metro Area.

Petro, who is joining the North American Leadership team, will report to Halé Behzadi, head of North America for Citi Private Bank, it said in a statement yesterday.

Joining the US bank last year as a regional market manager Metro NY, Petro previously worked for more than 10 years at JP Morgan’s global investment opportunities group, a specialized team within the bank that catered to the bank’s largest and most sophisticated families from around the globe. Most recently, Petro led the group’s Central Region practice from 2018.

Prior to JP Morgan, Petro worked in institutional sales at SG Cowen covering hedge funds and institutional asset managers. He began his career on the buy side as an equity analyst on a large cap portfolio management team at Morgan Stanley.
