Abbot Downing Launches Another US Office

As Abbot Downing plans to mark its five-year anniversary in April, the firm said it is seeking to grow its presence in the Atlanta metro area.
Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo's ultra high net worth business, has set up shop in Atlanta, GA.
The Atlanta team will be led by David Edmiston, who has worked at Wells Fargo for 28 years and was most recently a managing director in Georgia at the firm’s private bank.
The new Atlanta location adds to Abbot Downing’s existing branches in: San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Scottsdale, AZ; Houston, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Winston-Salem, NC; Raleigh, NC; New York, Washington, DC, and Palm Beach, FL.
The firm, which serves clients in all 50 states, provides a raft of services to UHNW clients, including: outsourced chief investment officer; qualitative and quantitative wealth planning; family history and business services; family dynamics and education; private banking; family office services; and M&A.
Wells Fargo merged several existing businesses to be rebranded as Abbot Downing in 2012. As of end-December 2016, it had $39 billion in client assets, and is the 7th-largest US-based family office by assets, according to the 2015 Bloomberg Markets survey.
