Coutts Opens Business Development Forum To Gems Of London's Jewellery Industry

UK private bank
Coutts, part of
Royal Bank of Scotland, is to give the 16 winners of its New
Jewellers Awards access to its Business Development Forum taking
place on 23 and 24 April at Coutts’ London headquarters.
The winners of Coutts New Jewellers Awards were announced in January, having been selected from a range of London-based competitors who had been in business for less than four years.
Coutts Business Development Forum will school attendees in how to maximise the growth of their businesses through lectures by industry experts specialising in a variety of fields, including brand development, business planning, funding, marketing and PR.
“The two-day forum begins with a focus on core business skills
with confirmed speakers from entrepreneurial consultants
Envestors; law firm Withers Worldwide concentrating on
intellectual property; Cranfield School of Management and digital
design agency Digits,” said
Nick Pollard, managing director at Coutts & Co.
“The second day will assume a focus on 'softer' business skills with presentations on marketing, branding, PR, networking, leadership and finally culminating these skills to develop a profitable strategy. British luxury jeweller Stephen Webster will host lunch on the second day to talk about his personal journey, its hurdles and defining moments.”
The winners of the Coutts New Jewellers Awards will also participate in the private bank’s London Jewellery Week, which runs from the 8th to 14th June 2009, and have the opportunity to showcase their designs to Coutts’ clients.
