The Boston-based provider of investment management software has hired an industry veteran to its management team.

FundCount has hired Michael Slemmer from SS&C as chief operating officer of the Americas.

Slemmer, who has over 30 years of experience in investment technology, was previously director of business development at SS&C. He has also served as principal at The Collaborative, an investment industry consulting firm, and as general manager, North America at Thomson Financial – PORTIA (now Thomson Reuters).

FundCount serves over 100 firms worldwide, with 80 of these in the Americas. It provides investment management, general ledger and partnership accounting software for single and multi-family offices, fund administrators, hedge funds, private equity and other investment firms.
