US Family Office Firm Appoints Former Rockefeller Executive

The newly-hired executive will serve in C-suite roles and be a founding executive and partner.
LinePoint Partners & Co has appointed James Chirdo as chief operating officer and chief compliance officer. He was previously an executive at Rockefeller Capital Management.
His new firm is a family office business that offers a platform and affiliation model tailored to UHNW breakaway advisors and single-family office executives. It is a registered RIA, based in Los Angeles. (Family Wealth Report interviewed it here.)
In the position, Chirdo will be a founding executive and partner; he brings more than two decades’ leadership experience in wealth management operations, institutional platform development, and advisor services.
At Rockefeller, he established the operational foundation of Rockefeller Financial, the firm’s wealth management broker-dealer, and led the onboarding of more than 135 advisor teams. Earlier in his career, he spent 17 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he served as director of sales and relationship management in the Broadcort division.
“From day one, our vision at LinePoint was to build something truly different – a platform that doesn’t just support UHNW advisors, but advances them,” Robertino Coury, founder and chief executive officer of LinePoint, said. “Attracting someone like Jim Chirdo – who brings decades of operational, compliance, and platform development experience – is not just a win for LinePoint, it’s a key piece of the puzzle.”
Chirdo holds a bachelor of science in business management from Binghamton University and maintains Series 7, 24, 63, and 99 licenses.
