A New RIA Supports SFO Executives, Breakaway Advisors To Build Business

The new organization, founded by a dynasty with its own family office, has built the LinePoint Partners business to work with people, such as executives in the sector, to create and sustain their own practices independently.

There’s another RIA firm in town that says it's changing the way single-family office executives and breakaway advisors build their business: LinePoint Partners & Co. 

The business, a registered RIA and based out of Los Angeles, has been founded by Robertino Coury, CEO, and Andrew Sternlight, president and chief investment officer. The executives in the business have collectively advised on more than $3 billion in UHNW client assets in their prior roles.

Other founders, besides Robertino Coury and Sternlight, are Santino Coury, Andreo Coury, and Juliano Coury. The Coury Firm is a multi-family office originally founded in 1984 by Robert J Coury and run by Mr Coury’s brothers. It is unaffiliated with E’O Management or LinePoint Partners & Co.)

LinePoint said it offers a “a first-of-its-kind affiliation model,” changing the way breakaway financial advisors and single-family office executives can independently operate and grow their practices with a platform designed for them and their clients.

The organization said that for financial advisors transitioning from wirehouses and private banks, LinePoint’s structure allows them to keep nearly all of their advisory fees, while maintaining full ownership of their client relationships and brand identity. For SFO executives who want to formalize their family office as a “trade or business,” LinePoint provides a family office infrastructure, it said in a statement yesterday. 

"Too often, breakaway financial advisors lack clarity, transparency, and control over their economic arrangements – but we're changing that," Coury said. "LinePoint's affiliation model puts advisors firmly in control.”

"Surprisingly, no true affiliation model exists for single family offices and their key executives. We identified an unmet need and built a solution for them: a ready-to-use operating platform that streamlines day-to-day family office functions, enhances tax efficiency, and significantly reduces both startup and ongoing costs,” Coury continued. “The need for a true family office partner has never been greater. Families don't build family offices because they want to; they do it because traditional wealth management falls short of their needs."

LinePoint has cultivated a network of strategic partners, introducing a co-sourcing model that blends in-house expertise with access to top-tier external talent and firms. 

Robertino Coury previously served as president and CIO of an independent RIA and multi-family office advisory firm. He also oversees E'O Management, the single-family office he founded in 2016, which manages the assets of the Coury family and now extends opportunities to other families to invest alongside them through LinePoint's co-invest platform.
