RBC Wealth Management In US Adds $1.6 Billion Group

The latest mergers, acquisitions and other corporate actions in the wealth management sector.

RBC Wealth Management – US has welcomed The Dalton Bahney and Treinen Wealth Management Group to its Boise, Idaho office. The team comes from UBS where it managed $1.6 billion in client assets, the firm said in a statement.

The Dalton Bahney and Treinen Wealth Management Group brings over a century of experience in financial services. The team, which takes a tactical approach to wealth management, has a wide range of expertise to help clients meet their wealth planning goals.

“The team was drawn to RBC Wealth Management’s culture and access to senior leadership,” said Rocky Mountain complex director Dan Ball. “They are well respected among their clients and their peers, and we are excited to welcome them to RBC.”

The eight-member team includes Sandra Dalton, managing director, private wealth advisor – financial advisor, William Bahney, senior vice president – financial advisor, Michael Treinen, SVP – financial advisor, Benjamin Dalton, SVP – financial advisor, Jeffrey Potter, senior business associate, Breanna Brandon, senior investment associate, Ryan Whitney, senior investment associate, and Caroline Ren, client associate.

RBC Wealth Management's US wealth business has made a number of hires, such as that of financial advisor Jim Kirk in Minneapolis. Earlier in May, the firm added to its presence in the Great Lakes Complex, recruiting a team from UBS. The group managed about $500 million in client assets. The Austin and Smith Wealth Management Group joined the Syracus, New York branch.
