Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – RBC Wealth Management, Advisory Services Network, Others

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management sector.

RBC Wealth Management
RBC Wealth Management US has just added senior vice president – financial advisor Jim Kirk (pictured) to its Minneapolis branch. Kirk is joining from US Bank with more than $1 billion in assets under management.

Kirk, who focuses on helping clients connect core values and goals to prioritize financial decision-making, has more than 20 years of experience guiding high net worth individuals and families. He helps clients gain confidence in their financial future by showing them how to achieve their planning priorities.

“Jim is a natural leader, problem solver and a great listener who understands his clients’ needs well,” said Bill Boehm, RBC Wealth Management’s Minneapolis complex director.

A subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), RBC Wealth Management is one of the largest full-service wealth management firms in the US, with $667 billion in total client assets in the US.

Advisory Services Network
Advisory Services Network taken on a new financial advisory team, Harris Wealth Management, in Springdale, Arizona. 

Previously with Cornerstone Advisors, financial advisors Tyler Harris and Gary Harris have teamed with ASN on their journey to independence and bring $250 million in client assets.

NewEdge Wealth
Wealth management industry veterans Paul Izlar and Brendan Keelan have joined NewEdge Wealth, an RIA which servrs ultra-high net worth families, family offices and institutional clients.

Izlar will become a managing director and Keelan is taking on the role of principal, investment solutions, fixed income. 

They join the team with prior colleagues William deButts and Jimmy Patrick, who joined NewEdge as MDs in January. Izlar was a founding partner at Edge Capital Partners in Atlanta, while Keelan served as a director. Prior to that, Izlar worked with NewEdge Wealth co-founders Rob Sechan and Jeffrey Kobernick, as well as president John Straus, during their time together at Morgan Stanley.

Izlar brings three decades of wealth management expertise, serving private clients and institutions on long-term growth strategies. His wealth management career began at Morgan Stanley in the private wealth management division. In 2007, he founded Edge Capital Partners in Atlanta. He also served as MD, Southeast regional manager and national head of client acquisition at Credit Suisse.

Keelan has nearly two decades of wealth management experience gained in roles at Edge Capital Partners and StableRiver Capital Management. In 2022, he founded his own RIA firm, Keelan Capital.

NewEdge Wealth now has more than 50 UHNW advisors across 15 locations, including Atlanta, Miami, Nashville and San Francisco.
