iShares Launches ETF Toolkit

iShares, the exchange-traded funds platform of BlackRock, has created an ETF “toolkit” to help advisors assess ETFs and the role they can play in portfolios.

The toolkit includes guidance on issues such as calculating total cost, evaluating the tax implications of different products and what to look for when selecting an ETF. It also provides materials for advisors to use when discussing ETFs with investors, including a factsheet aimed at “dispelling common ETF myths”.

“RDR has undoubtedly increased the interest we’ve seen in ETFs from financial advisors. There is also now much more awareness of the role that asset allocation plays in generating risk-managed returns, which is leading many investors to look at blending index products with active funds in their portfolios,” Pollyanna Rhodes, head of intermediary sales, iShares UK, said in a statement.

The ETF toolkit will be distributed to IFAs around the UK, and is available to download from the iShares website.
