California’s Beverly Hills Wealth Management has appointed industry veteran Steven Stahlberg as western division director, with immediate effect. Stahlberg joins BHWM with over 30 years of industry experience and will focus on growing and developing the firm’s presence on both a regional and national scale, according to a statement. “I chose BHWM for the ‘entrepreneurial’ opportunity it offers its wealth management advisors to be owners of the business and contribute to the creative and intellectual process,” Stahlberg said. Previously, Stahlberg served as western regional director at Robert W Baird, helping to build the firm’s presence on the West Coast. Before that, he was a district manager for Morgan Stanley, working with 22 branches and some 340 advisors. Stahlberg spent the majority of his management career at Wachovia and its predecessor firms, responsible for growing the firm’s footprint in northern California and Nevada. In other recent moves, last month BHWM hired Joe Ellison as a senior vice president and wealth management advisor; it then launched an office in San Diego, CA, adding financial advisor Taylor Schulte to spearhead new operations in the area. BHWM is a registered investment advisory firm based in Beverly Hills, CA. The firm was founded in 2010 and is led by Margaret Black-Scott.
