ANZ Asia Wealth GM Resurfaces At HSBC

The former Singapore-based general manger for Asia wealth management at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, whose departure was confirmed last month amid a major reshuffle at the bank's headquarters, has a new senior role at HSBC. Vineet Vohra, who was general manager of wealth management, consumer and private banking for Asia-Pacific at the top four lender, starts as regional head of wealth development for Asia-Pacific at
HSBC, effective immediately. He will be based in Hong Kong. Vohra has over 20 years of experience in consumer banking, investment management, wealth products and distribution. As well as ANZ he has also served in a number of leadership roles at Citibank and ING in Singapore and India. Vohra is a Chartered Financial Analyst and currently a member of the CFA Singapore Board. Last month ANZ said it would cut around 1,000 jobs from its Melbourne office in a bid to make the business more streamlined. It also announced a number of new appointments including Joyce Phillips as new global head of wealth management and private banking.
