Beacon Pointe Advisors, ACT Wealth Management
Californian-headquartered Beacon Pointe Advisors, a large registered investment advisor , has acquired ACT Wealth Management, a wealth management firm with offices in Allen, Texas, and Raleigh, North Carolina. The addition brings Beacon Pointe’s total assets under advisement to about $71 billion and adds specialized experience serving airline professionals and their families.

The acquisition of ACT Wealth Management formally closed on October 31, 2026. Advisor Growth Strategies served as an advisor to the ACT transaction.

Founded in 2010 by Daniel E Archer, Brennan G. Cross, and Ray B Tanner, ACT serves affluent clients nationwide. Its approach centers on understanding each client’s circumstances, developing individualized investment portfolios, and coordinating with accountants, attorneys, and other professionals to help clients address interconnected financial priorities. ACT advises on about $637 million in assets under management.

A distinctive element of ACT’s practice is its work with airline pilots, crew members and their families, relationships its principals have cultivated since 1996. The firm helps clients evaluate airline retirement benefits, consider early versus normal retirement, and plan for distributions, required minimum distributions, and Roth IRA conversions. This experience informs advice tailored to the financial decisions facing airline families before and throughout retirement.

“What drew us to Beacon Pointe was its ability to grow with our clients. As their needs evolve – whether through more comprehensive financial planning, legacy planning or the next stage of life – we want to be ready to serve them well into the future,” said Archer, partner and managing director. “Beacon Pointe gives us the resources and expertise to do exactly that while preserving the personal relationships and dedicated service that have always defined ACT Wealth Management. We’re excited about what this means for the families we serve and for the next chapter of our firm.”

The addition connects ACT’s personalized planning approach with Beacon Pointe’s allWEALTH® framework, bringing investment management and wealth planning together around each client’s priorities. The combination is intended to support ACT’s specialized client work with the resources of a national advisory organization.

“ACT brings experience with a client community whose retirement decisions require a close understanding of both employer benefits and broader family priorities,” said Beacon Pointe CEO Matt Cooper. “That perspective complements our comprehensive approach to wealth management.”
