Dynasty Financial Partners has appointed Alex Kaminsky  as chief marketing officer, based in the firm’s Florida HQ, and reporting to founder and CEO Shirl Penney.

Gordon “Gordy” Abel, Dynasty’s CMO for the past decade, is stepping into the newly-created role of chief brand officer, reporting to Kaminsky from New York City.

As part of his brief, Kaminsky will partner with Ken Hoffman, head of Dynasty Consulting Group, and the network marketing team led by Catherine Mitchell and Peter Ward.

“Our message is about triangulation of advice, making independence last, and winning in an aligned way for all the stakeholders who depends on us: RIA clients, their clients, employees and their families, resource partners, and investors. Alex will magnify that message,” Penney said in a statement.

Kaminsky brings more than 25 years of experience leading marketing transformations at Fortune 500, public, and private equity-backed companies. His résumé includes leadership roles at Corpay, YP, The Weather Channel, Coca-Cola, ESPN, and Turner Broadcasting. He founded and successfully exited a strategic brand consultancy.

Most recently, he spent eight years at NYSE-listed Corpay, rising to global chief brand officer. During his time there his accomplishments included launching Corpay’s first AI-enabled Creative Studio.

Dynasty appears to be on a marketing and brand drive. Dynasty said its board member John Seifert, former chairman and CEO of Ogilvy, has provided “significant brand guidance and support to the firm as part of the refreshing of the brand strategy.”

Penney has also consulted with Vayner Media and Gary Vaynerchuk, who helped make the connection to Kaminsky, the firm said.

Dynasty serves more than 750 advisors with nearly $135 billion in assets on platform. In recent news, in September, Dynasty unveiled the next generation of what it calls Dynasty AI. This is an AI operating system for wealth management that uses the Claude models of Anthropic.
