Lazard
Lazard has appointed Alexander Friedman as a managing director in its media, entertainment and sports group, based in New York.

Friedman will advise corporate and financial sponsor clients on public and private mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, fairness opinions, financings and other strategic transactions, Lazard said in a statement.

At Guggenheim Partners, Friedman was a managing director and an early member of the firm's technology, media and telecommunications investment banking group, focusing on media and entertainment.

Friedman has advised clients on strategic and financial transactions across the sector. Lazard did not provide details of individual transactions on which he has worked.

“Alex's arrival adds further depth to our Media, Entertainment & Sports practice,” Ben Braun, global head of Media, Entertainment & Sports at Lazard, said. “He brings a strong track record advising clients on high-profile media transactions.”

Lazard provides financial advisory and asset management services to corporations, governments, institutions, partnerships, family offices and high net worth individuals. Its advisory business operates across mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and other strategic and financial matters.

Ocorian
Ocorian has appointed Ryan McGrath to the newly-created role of global head of innovation, based in New York City.

McGrath will work across the asset manager, private wealth, corporate and issuer services provider to identify opportunities for new products and services and develop them into broader capabilities, Ocorian said in a statement. He will also join the firm's executive leadership team.

Previously, McGrath spent 15 years at EY and PricewaterhouseCoopers. During nine years at EY, he worked in the firm's Financial Services Technology Consulting practice, where he led enterprise transformation and artificial intelligence projects for banks, asset managers, payment networks and fintech firms.

He holds a master's degree in information technology, control and accountancy from the University of Illinois and is a US Certified Public Accountant.

DayMark Wealth Partners
DayMark Wealth Partners has opened an office in DeLand, Florida, led by managing partners Sidney Taylor and Jim Huster, who bring $250 million in client assets to the registered investment advisor.

The office opened on October 2 and is DayMark's fourth Florida location in less than 18 months, the firm said in a statement. The expansion follows office openings in Fort Lauderdale and Stuart in June 2025 and Sarasota in September 2026.

Taylor and Huster have joined from Morgan Stanley, where Taylor was a senior vice president of wealth management and senior investment management consultant and Huster was a financial advisor. Their practice caters to multigenerational families and covers investment consulting for institutions.

“Sidney and Jim bring decades of experience in multigenerational private-client and institutional consulting,” Mike Quin, founding partner and chief executive officer of DayMark Wealth Partners, said.

Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, DayMark serves HNW individuals, families and business owners. The firm has expanded through acquisitions and recruitment in markets including Illinois, Ohio, Connecticut, Florida, Wisconsin and Utah.

DayMark is a member of the Dynasty Financial Partners network of independent advisory firms. Dynasty provides technology, investment management and business services to independent wealth management firms.

LPL Financial
LPL Financial has recruited financial advisor Brad Jerome of Legacy Financial Group from Osaic, adding a practice with about $175 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets.

Jerome has joined LPL Financial's broker-dealer and registered investment advisor platforms, the firm said in a statement. Legacy Financial Group is based in Burton, Michigan, outside Flint.

The practice serves a multigenerational client base ranging from younger investors to retirees. It also works with estate planning attorneys and certified public accountants on clients' financial planning needs.

Jerome is supported by Ben McKinney, Keaton Washburn, Brooke Lince, Autumn Blackford, Lisa Blackburn and Delanie Carpenter.

Cetera
Cetera has recruited financial advisor Cynthia Doussard and her practice, Doussard Financial, which oversees about $235 million in assets under administration.

The Burlington, Washington-based practice has joined Cetera's Summit Financial Networks community, Cetera said in a statement. Doussard was previously affiliated with Commonwealth Financial Network for 24 years.

Doussard Financial serves clients across northwest Washington, with a particular focus on retirement income planning. Its work includes pension and 401 rollover guidance for clients approaching or already in retirement.

The practice has developed a client base with ties to the region's oil refinery industry and has grown primarily through referrals. Doussard is joined by two support staff and a third team member who is working toward obtaining a securities license with the aim of becoming the practice's second financial advisor.

Doussard, who has worked in the financial services industry for nearly 30 years, said her decision to leave Commonwealth followed its sale to LPL Financial.
