Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Citi Private Bank, Broadridge, Others

Citi Private Bank
Citi Private Bank has appointed Sam Gottesman as a market executive for the Northeast. He is joining from Bank of America Private Bank where he was a managing director and ME in Chevy Chase, Maryland. 

In his new role, Gottesman will be covering clients and teams in Boston, Greenwich, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

Prior to BoA, Gottesman was an MD and market manager at JP Morgan Private Bank in Washington, DC. Before that, he was chief investment officer for Mizuho Alternative Investments. He also served as chief operating officer at Blaylock and Company, a minority-owned US investment bank. Additionally, he has served in senior roles in management and trading with Commerzbank, Bear Stearns, Merril Lynch and Drexel Burnham Lambert. 

Gottesman will be joining Citigroup in November. 

Baird
Baird has appointed Christy Gatien as director and financial advisor in the firm’s wealth management office in Bellevue, Washington.

Gatien, who brings close to three decades of industry experience, is joined by senior client specialist Sean Ladd and client specialist Doug Wiedemeier.

Previously, Gatien worked at D A Davidson, where she managed more than $300 million in client assets. She worked at the firm for more than 20 years, most recently as senior vice president, financial advisor and portfolio manager. Before this, Gatien worked for Wells Fargo. 

Broadridge
Broadridge Financial Solutions, a New York-listed group, has appointed Boaz Lahovitsky as its new president of wealth management. He succeeds Mike Alexander, who will remain with the company working on strategic programs and initiatives.

Most recently, Lahovitsky was managing director of personal advisors at JP Morgan, where he built the bank’s hybrid-advice business for mass-affluent clients. His background also includes senior roles at Vanguard, Citigroup, Genpact, UBS, and Booz Allen Hamilton. 

“Boaz is an accomplished operating leader with a powerful track record of building and scaling wealth management businesses, advancing digital innovation, and delivering profitable growth,” Tom Carey, Broadridge’s global head of product and technology, said. “His experience across advice, technology, data, and client engagement makes him exceptionally well positioned to lead our wealth management business into its next chapter.

“Mike is a highly respected leader, and I look forward to partnering with him on the initiatives ahead. He has built an exceptional franchise and will work closely with Boaz to ensure a seamless leadership transition and advance our growth strategy for wealth management,” Carey said. 

Among recent moves, in June Broadridge appointed Mark Nichols as co-president, digital assets to head Broadridge’s strategy, product development, and execution across tokenization and digital assets. 

CAIS
CAIS, a US-headquartered alternative investment platform, has added seven people to its CAIS Advisory Council.

The members bring experience in investments, technology, operations and product. The newest members include:

-- Araceli Corsini, head of alternatives, MassMutual Wealth Management; 
-- Chloe Reed, principal, investment solutions, alternative investments, NewEdge Wealth; 
-- Tuppy Russo, head of client technology and operations for AllianceBernstein; 
-- Mark Rynasiewicz, partner and head of product, &Partners; 
-- Steve Snyder, senior product leader, alternatives and SMAs, Edward Jones; 
-- Ben Sullivan, chief investment officer, AE Wealth Management; and 
-- Chris Wilde, managing director, portfolio implementation and investment operations, Focus Partners Wealth.
