The family-owned private investment firm manages over $1.2 billion in assets, partnering with visionary leaders to build enduring companies across technology, financial services, business services, sports and public-sector markets. Weatherford serves on the boards of several companies within the firm’s portfolio. Before co-founding Weatherford Capital, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, serving from 2006 to 2014. Weatherford was the state’s 84th speaker of the house from 2012 to 2014. He serves as a trustee of the University of South Florida, where he previously served as chair, and as a trustee of Jacksonville University, his alma mater. Weatherford previously served as co-chairman of the Super Bowl LV Host Committee and sits on the boards of Dream Finders Homes and GuideWell, among others. MAI Capital Management Brady brings more than 30 years of enterprise executive experience to MAI, including roles at KeyBank and Bank of America, where she led large-scale technology, service centers, operations and digital transformation efforts, including enterprise AI adoption. As MAI continues its expansion after its majority investment from Carlyle, Brady will oversee the implementation of firmwide initiatives, including AI optimization, workflow and cost efficiencies that support MAI’s culture. She will also serve as the national leader of MAI’s strategy focused on women and wealth, bringing to market the firm’s programs and services dedicated to one of the fastest-growing segments within the wealth management industry. Brady will report directly to Buoncore as the newest member of MAI's OMP, which was expanded in November 2025 with the acquisition of Evoke Advisors to take advantage of the strength of the combined team across areas including wealth management, ultra-high net worth, sports and entertainment, family office and tax services, investments and firmwide operations. The firm has 42 offices across the US, a team of over 700 people and, as of June 30, 2026, nearly $80.4 billion in total assets comprising $73.8 billion in assets under management and $6.6 billion in assets under advisement. Led by Tanner G Robinson, managing director and financial advisor, the team advises high net worth individuals and families, elite athletes, institutions and corporations. Berry, who has spent several years with Truist Financial, will help expand the Robinson Private Client Group's work with current and former athletes, including student-athletes navigating the evolving Name, Image and Likeness and revenue-sharing landscape. During his career, Berry has worked with athletes, including professional players and high school and collegiate student-athletes adjusting to the financial opportunities created by NIL. His own experience in college and professional basketball gives him an understanding of the pressures, responsibilities and decisions that can come with athletic success, the firm said in a statement.
New York-listed Raymond James Financial, which has total client assets of $1.93 trillion, has appointed Will Weatherford, managing partner of Weatherford Capital, to join its board of directors, effective December 15, 2026. A resident of Tampa Bay with civic ties to the region, he will also serve on the board’s audit committee and risk committee.
MAI Capital Management, a US-registered investment adviser , has hired Amy Brady as a managing partner in MAI’s Office of Managing Partners , the firm’s team that oversees its business segments. Brady will be charged with leading forward-looking initiatives that can position MAI for growth, greater enterprise effectiveness and competitive strength, effective September 1, 2026.
