Concurrent Investment Advisors, an integrated RIA, has partnered with Proxima Wealth Partners, a newly formed independent advisory firm based in Tampa, Florida.

Proxima was founded by Chris Davitt and Anupam Singh, both formerly of Raymond James.

Under terms of the partnership, Proxima will focus on recruiting advisor teams and growing net new assets and headcount through recruiting and acquisitions.

Advisors who join will be offered an equity stake in the firm under a joint ownership structure, Concurrent said in a statement this week.

Davitt will lead recruiting and growth strategy for the platform, while Singh will oversee operational, technology, financial and risk management initiatives. The two will serve as outsourced chief growth officer and chief operating officer, respectively, for Proxima's partner firms.

Concurrent will supply Proxima with enterprise technology, an investment and asset management platform, risk management support and access to capital for advisor transitions, acquisitions and equity monetization.

Davitt was most recently regional director for one of Raymond James' Private Client Group's largest regions, overseeing the firm's employee branches across Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. He previously led Advisor Select, Raymond James' independent employee model, and served on the firm's Capital Markets Committee and Executive Council.

Singh was vice president of platform strategy and operations in Raymond James' Asset Management Services division, where he led modernization of the firm's fee-based investment platform, including development of its unified managed account offering.
