Citi Wealth has appointed Adam Clark as the new global head of wealth planning, based in New York. He will officially join Citi in November, following completion of his garden leave, the firm said in a statement. Clark is succeeding Mike Troth, who has been serving in the role ad interim, a spokesperson told this news service.

Clark will lead the firm's global wealth planning team, reporting to Keith Glenfield, global head of investments at Citi Wealth, also based in New York. The regional heads of wealth planning who will report to Clark include: Mike Troth, head of wealth planning for Asia; Elena Mortemore, head of wealth planning Americas; and Robert Stemmons, head of EMEA wealth planning.

Formerly, Clark was with JP Morgan, where he served as global head of trusts and estates, leading all aspects of the firm's global trusts and estates business. He oversaw six operating entities and a team of 500 professionals across 40 locations in the US, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.

Throughout his tenure, he worked with the private bank’s complex global families and created new business with ultra high net worth clients. Prior to JP Morgan, which he joined in November 2016, Clark spent seven years at Goldman Sachs in several senior leadership roles, including president of the Goldman Sachs Trust Company and head of the international strategic wealth advisory team.

With a nearly 30-year career in banking, Clark brings expertise in tax, estate, trust, and wealth planning. The firm said that his background will be a tremendous asset to its franchise as it raises its service and advisory capabilities for its UHNW clients globally.
