Mariner, Humanity Labs
Mariner, a financial services firm, has teamed up with Humanity Labs, an AI Workforce company, to scale an “AI workforce” to more than 700 full-time equivalents inside Mariner.
Unlike traditional AI tools that assist employees with individual tasks, an AI Workforce functions as an embedded team that operates within a firm’s existing systems and workflows. It handles operational work alongside Mariner associates.
The five-year partnership marks the largest AI Workforce partnership in the RIA industry to date, the firms said.
The AI Workforce spans the back office, where high volume operational work is concentrated, while extending into middle and front office functions. It completes work across workflows including client onboarding, account opening, compliance reviews, client reporting, billing, prospect onboarding, and cross-serve opportunity identification.
“Just about every firm in our industry has grown the same way: serve more clients, hire more people,” Marty Bicknell, CEO and president of Mariner, said. “That model has a ceiling, and we decided to break it. For more than 20 years, Mariner has been guided by a simple belief: put clients first and positively impact the lives of many. This is the next evolution of that commitment.”
Mariner is introducing the workforce firmwide with associate sessions, published career paths and new roles focused on directing and quality-checking the AI Workforce.
Founded in 2006 with about $300 million in assets under advisement, Mariner affiliates collectively advise on more than $629.7 billion in assets under advisement as of May 31 this year.
Wells Fargo Advisors
Wells Fargo Advisors is introducing AI Teammate, a new AI-powered capability embedded within Advisor Gateway that helps advisors, client associates and support teams quickly access information, navigate workflows and move work forward more efficiently. The consequence of this technology is that it saves financial advisors time so that they can focus more on clients and growing their practices, Wells Fargo Advisors said in a statement.
AI Teammate is integrated directly into Advisor Gateway and uses a chat-based interface. It is available across all wealth and investment management advisor channels, including Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network .
