Sanctuary Wealth, a “hybrid” RIA, has welcomed OPT Wealth Management and its founder Kyle Vasel, to its embrace.

Vasel – a former Merrill Lynch advisor in the Chicago area – manages $260 million of client money.

"Kyle built an impressive business over 15 years in the wirehouse channel, but he also understood the limitations that come with that model," Vince Fertitta, president, wealth management, Sanctuary Wealth, said. "His decision is the latest example of an elite advisor recognizing that independence offers a better way to serve clients and build on his own terms with the support of the right partner."

Vasel began his career as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch in 2011.

Ameriprise Financial
Financial advisors Jeff Flamm and Kevin Smith have joined the independent channel of Ameriprise Financial from Key Investment Services, where they managed $140 million in client assets.

The duo joined an established Ameriprise practice, Beyond Wealth Advisors, a private wealth advisory practice led by financial advisor Joshua Lake, with offices in areas of Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, as well as Richmond, Indiana.
