MSCI
MSCI has appointed former Goldman Sachs senior figure Dinesh Gupta as chief data officer and head of operations.

Gupta previously led AI and digitalization efforts at Goldman Sachs. His work on AI and digitization spanned multiple Goldman businesses, including private wealth management.

In his new role, Gupta is based in New York and reports to Henry Fernandez, chairman and chief executive of MSCI, the group said in a statement this week.

Raymond James
A team of six advisors, who had managed more than $800 million in client money with Commonwealth Financial Network, have moved to the independent advisor arm of Raymond James. They are based in Rochester, New York.

The advisors are Mike McNaughton, Dan Schmitz, Greg Schuler, Traci Lewis, Jeff Santillo and John Woodworth. They operate as OakWood Financial Services and serve clients including high net worth families and individuals, business owners and retirees.

Hashdex
Hashdex, a crypto asset manager focused on exchange-traded funds for wealth managers, has appointed Mick McLaughlin as the company’s first US chief executive.

The firm intends to grow business with advisors, institutional investors, and private wealth investors in the US, it said in a statement this week.

McLaughlin, who also serves as global distribution head, has been leading Hashdex’s crypto ETF platform since joining the firm in 2024. His appointment formalizes the company’s push to deepen relationships with advisors and private wealth investors as digital assets increasingly enter diversified portfolios.

Prior to Hashdex, McLaughlin served as chief distribution officer at Bitwise and was also head of ETF distribution for the Americas at Deutsche Bank. He spent more than a decade helping build the iShares ETF business at BlackRock and Barclays.
