Raymond James has brought over three teams to its business lines in recent days, with one in the West Coast, one in Texas and the other in the Northeast of the US. In the Northeast, Raymond James brought in financial advisors Richard “Ric” Kelton; Ryan Kelton, and Sean Kelton; and their team to Raymond James Financial Services – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Latham, New York. Texas
Raymond James & Associates – the firm’s employee advisor broker/dealer – has welcomed financial advisor Kenneth Haycraft to its West coast business. Haycraft joins from USAA Financial Advisors, where he managed more than $300 million in client assets. He serves a variety of clients, including professionals and business owners, focusing on clients such as those on active military duty, veterans, teachers, doctors or community leaders.
Haycraft has been in the financial services industry for more than 27 years, beginning his career as a financial advisor with Charles Schwab and most recently working at USAA, where he was a senior wealth manager. Prior to financial services, he served in the US Army as a first lieutenant. He received his bachelor’s degree in public administration and his MBA from George Mason University, as well as a master of science in financial services from the American College of Financial Services.
The father-and-sons trio operates as the Kelton Financial Group and joins Raymond James from Northwestern Mutual, where they managed more than $600 million in client assets. The team serves families, individuals and retirees, with a specialized focus on corporate executives.
Joining the Keltons at Raymond James are eight team members: Lauri Spargo, chief operating officer and RJFS registered representative; Salvatore Schittino, KFG director of wealth services and RJFS registered representative; Kaitlin Coughlin, KFG director of insurance operations and services and RJFS registered representative; Christopher Shaver, KFG director of planning and RJFS registered representative; Vincent Kisel, KFG senior wealth services associate and RJFS client relationship manager; Josh Alexander, KFG portfolio research associate and RJFS client services manager; Ann Wilson, KFG marketing and client relations manager and RJFS client relationship associate; and Lori Kelton, KFG chief financial officer and RJFS senior branch associate.
Rick Kelton has been in the industry for more than 25 years. Prior to his tenure as a wealth management advisor, he was a senior accountant at a firm in New York City, and an auditor and financial analyst at Matthew Bender. Ryan Kelton joined the Kelton Financial Group in 2015, after working for four years at GE Capital, the financial services division of General Electric. He graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in international business.
Sean Kelton joined the Kelton Financial Group in 2017 after serving three years in various roles at GE Healthcare, most recently as a manufacturing engineer. He graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical and biological engineering.
St Petersburg-based Raymond James has added a raft of teams to its business and broker-dealer platforms over the past 12 months, tapping into wealth managers' need to work with a large external partner able to give them the brand and technology support they need to function effectively in an increasingly complex financial environment.
The firm also welcomed financial advisors Bevin Hartnett and Joseph Restivo III to Raymond James Financial Services in Houston, Texas. The team operates as Pinebrook Wealth Strategies and joins from Waddell & Reed, where Hartnett previously managed approximately $137 million in client assets. Joining them at Raymond James is Amanda Loredo, branch administrative assistant.
Hartnett has been in the financial services industry for more than 13 years. He began his financial career working with Waddell & Reed as a financial advisor after a past career as the founder of a software company in the college athletics industry. Restivo, partner at Pinebrook Wealth Strategies and RJFS financial advisor, joined the financial services industry over 20 years ago at Waddell & Reed, where he served as a financial advisor.
