Wealth Services Platform Scoops Up Another Client

tru Independence, the US-based consulting and services platform for wealth management firms, has added Firethorn Wealth Partners as a client.

Firethorn is led by its founders Scott Benjamin, Jerry Rogers and Kevin Sweeney and is based in Augusta, Georgia. 

It oversees $365 million of assets under management. Prior to founding Firethorn Wealth Partners, Benjamin, Rogers and Sweeney, along with Firethorn’s director of operations Melinda McRee, were part of the wealth management team at South State Bank, where they provided comprehensive financial planning, lifetime income planning, and individual and corporate retirement planning.
