Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - LPL Financial, RBC Wealth Management, Others

LPL Financial 
LPL Financial has appointed certified financial planner Ric Kellogg to its broker/dealer platform, working with IHT Wealth Management, an independent advisory firm on LPL’s hybrid registered investment advisor platform.

Kellogg reported that, based on prior business, he served about $123 million of client brokerage and advisory assets, as of March 29, 2018.

Based in Southlake, Texas, Kellogg is al financial advisor providing financial planning, wealth management and qualified plan consultation services. 

RBC Wealth Management
RBC Wealth Management has appointed Tim Garigan as managing director and financial advisor in the Tucson.

He joins with 41 years of industry experience.  He manages approximately $225 million in client assets and joins RBC from Wells Fargo Advisors.  

Also joining with Garigan is Kim Gray, senior registered client associate.

Intellectus Partners
Intellectus Partners has appointed Trevor Mottl as head of portfolio structure, risk and alternative data. Mottl will lead portfolio optimization strategies, derivatives, risk management, cryptocurrencies and private investments for Intellectus. 

In this role, Mottle will be based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters and will join its Investment Committee.  He will report to the chief executive of Intellectus, David J La Placa.

Mottl’s career includes senior roles managing risk at some of the top hedge funds such as Balyasny Asset Management LP and Man GLG. Earlier in his career, Mottl worked at Susquehanna where he was head of macro and derivatives strategy, Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. 

WisdomTree
WisdomTree, an exchange-traded fund and exchange-traded product sponsor, has appointed Christopher Gannatti as head of research in Europe. 

Gannatti moves from WisdomTree’s headquarters in New York, where he has worked since December 2010. Gannatti joined WisdomTree in 2010 as research analyst and was promoted to associate director in 2014. Prior to that, he was a regional consultant at Lord Abbett.

In his role, Gannatti will lead the research team in Europe. He will also support the UCITs platform globally. He will work closely with WisdomTree investors to educate on equity markets, commodities, foreign exchange, fixed income and ETPs.

He will lead a four-strong analyst team comprised of Nick Leung, associate director and Florian Ginez, senior quantitative associate, Nitesh Shah, director, and Aneeka Gupta, associate director.
