The head of Wedbush Securities’ private client services group, Wes Long, has left the firm after nearly 20 years of working there, Family Wealth Report can confirm.

Long oversaw the firm’s team of some 400 advisors, having joined the California-based firm in 1997 and become head of the private client services group in 2012.

“The firm expresses our appreciation to Wesley Long for his many outstanding contributions over 18 years to Wedbush Securities,” a spokesperson at Wedbush told this publication.

Last year, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced charges against Wedbush and two officials accused of violating the agency’s market access rule that requires firms to have adequate risk controls in place.
