William Blair Opens New Private Wealth Office In US

The US-based wealth management firm has opened a new office in the US Southeast.

Chicago-based William Blair, a global investment banking and asset management firm, has hired four vice presidents and financial advisors at the firm's new private wealth management office in Atlanta, Georgia.

The team – formerly of Credit Suisse - includes Kim Chenevey, Joel Dobbs, Craig Savage and Andy Thompson, along with service associates Robert Castaneda and Sarah Lundquist.

They serve high net worth individuals and families, business owners, foundations and endowments, and at Credit Suisse collectively managed around $1.6 billion in client assets.

William Blair recently hired Lawrence Gilbert as a vice president and financial advisor in Chicago and before that added the team of Barbara Cummings, Robert Kjellman and Carl Young, along with investment resource associate Karen Eames and sales assistant Gillian Koch, in Boston.

The firm has some $16.7 billion in private wealth assets as of 30 September, 2015.
