Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Turing, Chubb, Others

The latest industry moves in wealth management and related sectors across North America.

Turing Technology
Turing Technology, which licences its tech to investment management, insurance, brokerage, RIA, and wealth firms, has appointed Charles Larkin to join its board of directors.

Larkin has been involved with the firm since 2018. His background has primarily been in private equity, including his role as founding partner of Webster Capital, a private equity firm in which he was involved for 16 years. Since stepping back from Webster Capital in 2017, Larkin has spent his time as an executive coach and strategy consultant for asset management and not-for-profit firms. More recently, he has become very active with Management Leadership for Tomorrow, where he acts as professional teacher and coach for underrepresented minorities interested in alternative asset careers.

Chubb
Chubb, the insurer, has appointed Michael Mollica to be in charge of its private/not-for-profit management liability business within its North America financial lines business. Mollica is succeeding Leigh Anne Sherman, who has been appointed as division president of ESIS, a Chubb company, and a third-party claims administrator. 

The business that Mollica leads concentrates on providing directors and officers liability, fiduciary liability, employment practices liability, workplace violence, crime, and kidnap and ransom insurance products. He will also provide underwriting support for the underwriting service branch.

Succeeding Mollica is Stephen Troiano, who has been named as executive vice president; he will lead the US retail financial institutions management liability business.

Both appointments are effective immediately. Mollica and Troiano will report to Steven F Goldman, Chubb Group and division president, North America financial lines.

Mollica has more than 20 years of industry experience. He earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing and communications from the Boston College Wallace E Carroll Graduate School of Management. Troiano has more than 20 years of industry experience. He is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from The College of New Jersey.

Vontobel
Vontobel Asset Management, the Switzerland-based firm, has appointed Kristin Fenik as relationship manager to support US West Coast institutional investors and deliver the firm's multi-boutique investment offering.

Fenik has more than 16 years of industry experience in consultant relations and engagement with institutional clients, including RIA and high net worth investors. She is joining from Cambiar Investors, where she was responsible for business development and relationship management. Prior to that, Kristin held senior-level positions in client and consultant relations at ArrowMark Partners and OppenheimerFunds.

Kristin holds a master of business administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, and a bachelor of science in business administration from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business.
