Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - TRA, Raymond James, Others

The latest senior wealth management executive moves in North America.

The Retirement Advantage
The Retirement Advantage, the US retirement services company, has appointed Darin Erdmann as national sales manager - a new role for the firm. He will be charged with leading the company's national sales team and will report to Jeff Schreiber, TRA’s director of sales. 

Erdmann will oversee and manage the company’s sales team activities, assist in identifying new market opportunities and generate additional growth in the company’s defined retirement planning markets.

TRA, based in Wisconsin, is a national retirement services company providing third-party administration and fiduciary services to financial advisors, wealth managers and a number of other businesses. It serves more than 8,500 plan sponsors and has more than $8.5 billion in retirement assets under administration.

Raymond James 
Raymond James has brought over advisors Mark Killingsworth and Stephen Vessey to its independent broker/dealer, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

The advisor duo joined from Wells Fargo Advisors, where they previously managed $200 million in client assets. They, along with registered client service associate Carrie Decker, operate as Killingsworth & Vessey Financial Partners.

Killingsworth has been in the financial services industry for more than three decades. Prior to Raymond James, he spent his career at AG Edwards & Sons and its successor firms Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors. 

Vessey began his financial services career as an advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors prior to joining Raymond James. 


AmeriTrust
AmeriTrust, part of the Argent Financial Group family of companies in the US, has promoted Kenny Brown Jr to vice president, business development. Jason Simpson has also joined the firm as portfolio manager. 

Both men are based in the Tulsa office and report to AmeriTrust president Harvie Roe. 

AmeriTrust provides trust administration, investment management and financial planning services. 

Brown will spearhead new client outreach and strengthen current customer relationships. He joined AmeriTrust in 2017 as assistant vice president and portfolio manager, bringing more than 10 years of experience in the trust and financial services industry. Prior to AmeriTrust, Brown spent four years at Heritage Trust in Oklahoma City, also part of Argent Financial Group. He has also worked in accounting and financial roles with GuideStone Financial Resources and Fidelity Investments in Dallas, Texas.

A registered investment advisor representative, Brown is also a level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and has an MBA in finance from Dallas Baptist University. 

Before joining AmeriTrust, Simpson worked for three years as a portfolio manager and investment analyst with Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa. He also spent four years as finance manager for Arms of Love International, which has its headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. Simpson is a level III candidate in the CFA program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in American political studies from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in economics from Colorado State University.
