Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Sanctuary Wealth, Hylant

The latest senior moves in asset and wealth management from across North America.

Sanctuary Wealth
Sanctuary Wealth has added its first Louisiana team, the Longo Group, to its network.

The team is led by Ted Longo, who has more than 30 years at Merrill Lynch where he was managing director, senior resident director and wealth management advisor. The firm’s eight-person team has annual revenues of $4 million and over $530 million in assets under management.

After receiving a degree from Auburn University, Longo joined Merrill Lynch in 1986 and remained there for the next 34 years, rising to the position of MD, senior resident director and wealth management advisor. He opened the firm's office in Slidell, Louisiana in 1997.

"By choosing Sanctuary's partnered independence, The Longo Group will have control of their business and flexibility in how they serve clients, but they won't be alone," Jim Dickson, chief executive and founder of Sanctuary Wealth, said.

The Sanctuary Wealth network covers 16 states and includes 38 partner firms with over $10 billion in assets under advisement. The Sanctuary Wealth Group includes the fully-owned subsidiary Sanctuary Advisors, a registered investment advisor, and the broker-dealer Sanctuary Securities, as well as Sanctuary Asset Management, Sanctuary Insurance Solutions, Sanctuary Capital Markets, and Sanctuary Global Family Office.

Hylant
Hylant, the insurance brokerage, has expanded its family office practice by hiring industry veteran Paul Tanner. Tanner, a Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) and Wharton School of Business graduate, will lead the practice based in Beverly Hills, California.

“We’ve worked with family offices for more than fifteen years, experienced change in the complexities of their intricate risks and the fluidity of domestic and international market appetites. Paul’s strategic approach aligns with the visionary approach for the organization to meet the customer at its needs and deliver exceptional service,” Andrew Berenzweig, president, Hylant Toledo, said.

Hylant was founded in 1935.
