State Street Global Advisors
State
Street Global Advisors, the asset management business of
State Street Corporation, has appointed Rory Tobin as
global head of its SPDR exchange-traded fund business, it said in
a statement.
Nick Good, previously co-head of the SPDR ETF business, has been appointed as State Street’s chief growth and strategy officer.
Tobin joined State Street Global Advisors in 2014 from Barclays Wealth & Investment Management, where he served as chief executive of Barclays Asset Management and was global head of investments and solutions.
He will continue to report to Cyrus Taraporevala, president and chief executive officer of State Street Global Advisors.
In his new role, Good is responsible for working with State Street’s management committee and board of directors to develop long-term business growth, strengthen the company’s business partnerships and drive continued innovation and solutions for clients. He will report to Eric Aboaf, chief financial officer of State Street.
Jim Ross, chairman of global SPDR and State Street Global Advisors Funds Management continues in his role.

Banc of
California has appointed Joubin Rahimi as senior vice
president of private banking of its San Diego operation.
Rahimi joins Banc of California from First Foundation Bank. He has over 19 years of banking experience, primarily within the San Diego area, including previous experience at First Republic Bank, Comerica Bank and Wells Fargo Bank
He will work with Steve Cusato, who serves as market executive for San Diego.

America has appointed Merrill Lynch executive Matt
McCormack as market president, serving as the company’s
enterprise leader in the greater Sacramento region.He will
succeed Kathie Sowa.
McCormack will work across El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Yolo counties to connect businesses, families and individuals to Bank of America’s banking and investment teams, and will help direct the company’s philanthropic resources.
He has spent his entire 19-year career with Merrill Lynch in offices across the US. He also serves as the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management market executive for the greater Sacramento region, which includes Merrill Lynch offices in Chico, Folsom, Redding, and Roseville.
