Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - SEI, Dreyfus, Northern Trust, Others

The latest moves in wealth management across North America.

SEI
US-based investments company SEI has appointed David Hintz as US equity portfolio manager in a bid to strengthen and deepen its investment expertise, the firm said in a statement.

Hintz joins with almost 30 years of experience in the financial services. He has been involved at SEI with developing a range of benchmark indexes and has experience in portfolio management selection. His career includes a tenure at both Russell Investments’ consulting group and Russell Investment’s funds management group. 

In this new role, Hintz will be responsible for the management of all US large-cap equity strategies. He will report to Jason Collins, global head of equity portfolio management within the investment management unit at SEI.

Dreyfus
Dreyfus has appointed Daniel Rabasco, Jeffrey Burger and Thomas Casey as the Dreyfus Municipal Bond Infrastructure Fund's primary portfolio managers, effective immediately, Dreyfus said in a statement. 

The firm will continue to serve as the fund's investment manager and Standish Mellon Asset Management ("Standish"), a BNY Mellon investment boutique, will continue to serve as the fund's sub-investment advisor. Rabasco, Burger and Casey have served as primary portfolio managers of the fund since its inception.

Rabasco is the chief investment officer for tax sensitive fixed income at Standish. Burger is a senior portfolio manager for tax sensitive strategies at Standish. Casey is a senior portfolio manager for tax sensitive strategies at Standish.

Northern Trust
Northern Trust has appointed Roberta Ruddy as vice president and international relationship manager, for its San Diego, California office, the firm said in a statement.

Ruddy will report to Richard Martinez, senior vice president and team leader of international wealth advisory services in Houston, Texas.

The new vice president will specialize in strategic business development with a multinational focus, emphasizing cross-cultural teamwork and collaboration for families moving wealth over jurisdictions and generations.

She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to Northern Trust, she worked at Royal Bank of Canada as wealth management international director.

Cutter Associates
Cutter Associates has appointed Gina McCafferty as principal, effective October 9.

McCafferty worked at Cutter Associates from 1999 to 2011, the last five years heading up Cutter’s research activities. She left the firm in 2011 to join InvestIT, where she was a principal and head of research.

In a newly created role at Cutter Associates, she will be heading up the firm’s wealth practice, where she will be developing a research product specifically targeted to address the operational and technology needs of wealth managers.
