Fidelity International
Financial services firm Fidelity International has appointed Christian Staub as managing director of its continental European operation. He succeeds Jon Skillman, who is moving to a new role in the company managing Global Workplace Investing.

Staub has over 20 years’ experience in the industry and joins after four years at BlackRock, where he held a number of senior European distribution roles. Prior to joining BlackRock, he held several senior positions at Allianz Asset Management and PIMCO, following an initial period as an investment analyst at UBS.

He will report to Simon Haslam, interim president, and will be a member of Fidelity International’s global operating committee. He joins on 6 August and will be based at the company’s Luxembourg office.

Laven Partners
Laven Partners, the compliance and due diligence consultancy and regulatory software publisher, has appointed Priscilla Babs as a senior consultant, working on the firm’s team dealing with the upcoming data protection laws from the European Union – GDPR.

Babs joins from the investment management house BlueBay, Laven said in a statement yesterday. She has worked on GDPR projects across several fields. As well as BlueBay Asset Management, she has worked at Standard Chartered Bank.
