Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - EisnerAmper, Shepherd Kaplan Krochuk, Other

The latest wealth management moves in senior roles across North America.

EisnerAmper
US-based professional services firm EisnerAmper, which has branched into areas including family offices, has appointed three of its partners and leaders to the newly-created role of vice chair.

Michael Breit is VC for strategic relationships. Breit will oversee existing client relationships and the cultivation of new business relationships to help the firm meet its growth goals. He is the partner-in-charge of the firm’s sports and entertainment group and was previously the partner-in-charge of the New York office.

Christopher Loiacono is made VC for services. Loiacono will be responsible for the growth and quality of service offerings. He is also a leader in the tax services group and was previously the managing partner of services.

Jay Weinstein is named VC for industries and markets. Weinstein will be responsible for executing business strategies for existing markets and segments and identifying emerging opportunities, in essence, the firm’s chief growth officer. He will also oversee the accompanying innovation and technology initiatives. Most recently, he was the partner-in-charge of the New Jersey office and the managing partner of markets and industries.

The firm has more than 200 partners and principals and 1,900-plus employees.

EisnerAmper has also ramped up its presence in Europe and sees the complex, cross-border issues that wealthy families grapple with as a rich seam of gold to be mined.

Shepherd Kaplan Krochuk
Shepherd Kaplan Krochuk, the RIA, has appointed David Perlin as senior vice president, serving as a senior advisor in the wealth management division of SKK. The firm plans to open a new Washington, DC office.

Perlin has worked for 35 years in financial markets. He was founder and CEO of Pearl Investment Partners (an RIA) and a managing director at Goldman Sachs where he co-managed the international equity division; he also had senior roles at Morgan Stanley, HSBC and First Boston.

Based in Washington, DC, Perlin is vice chairman of the Teach for America DC Regional Board.

Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis
Law firm Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis has appointed Frank A Louis and Jeanette Russell as partners in its family law department.

The appointments fit with the firm’s expansion in New Jersey, it said in a statement yesterday.

Louis is widely recognized as a pre-eminent member of the New Jersey family law bar, with nearly five decades of experience in negotiating and litigating economically complex divorce cases. He represents clients in all aspects of divorce including asset distribution, child support and alimony. Louis is the founding partner of Louis & Russell, a boutique matrimonial firm located in Toms River, New Jersey. Louis is also a lecturer and the published author of over fifty academic articles.

Russell's family law practice encompasses divorce and separation, child support and custody, alimony, asset valuation, and the drafting of prenuptial, postnuptial and settlement agreements.  Early in her career, she was an associate attorney in Greenbaum's family law practice, later becoming a partner in the Louis & Russell firm.  She serves on the executive committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Family Law Section, and is also active at the county level as a member of both the Monmouth and Ocean County Bar Association's Family Law Committees.
