Trust International, which is part of Franklin Templeton, has
appointed Maudie Long, CFA® as a senior portfolio manager in New
York. David DeStefano has also started at the firm’s New York
office as trust officer, the firm said.
Long reports to James Le Rose, managing director. She was most recently senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where she developed financial plans integrating taxable, tax-deferred, and trust accounts for private foundations as well as high net worth and ultra-HNW individuals. During her 14-year tenure, Long served on one of the firm’s national diversity and inclusion business councils, and on the marketing committee for Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Long previously worked for 10 years at Evergreen Investments-Wachovia Bank, where she was vice president and portfolio manager. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a member of the CFA Society New York, and Connecticut Hedge Fund Association. She graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science in finance, and completed the New England School of Banking’s trust program at Williams College, which included course work in tax and estate planning.
DeStefano reports to Debra Feeks, managing director and senior relationship manager, and Kimbrough Towles, managing director and senior portfolio manager, at Fiduciary Trust International. He joins from BNY Mellon Wealth Management, where he served as associate wealth manager responsible for managing ultra-high net worth clients’ trusts. DeStefano was also secretary of BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s trust administrative committee. Earlier in his career, DeStefano was trust administrative officer and assistant vice president at US Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management.
DeStefano graduated from The College of New Jersey with a bachelor of science in international business and finance. He holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the American Bankers Association and received a diploma in personal trust from the American Institute of Banking. DeStefano also completed the Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School III program.
In March, the firm announced the arrival of Kevin G Carter, CFP® as New York-based senior portfolio manager. Jennifer McCarthy came aboard as a trust counsel and managing director in the New York office in September 2019. Recent hires in the New York office also include Rod Sayegh, who joined as head of digital strategy in May 2019, and Noah Uzal, who began his position as wealth director in September 2018. Isaac Barrocas and Nita S Vyas started as senior portfolio manager and trust counsel, respectively, in the New York office in June 2018.

ETHIC, the Boston,
Massachusetts-based bank, has appointed Matt Morse, CFA, as chief
investment officer of ETHIC Wealth Advisors, an RIA.
Morse is responsible for leading the overall investment process which includes overseeing the global multi-asset platform and managing the firm's proprietary equity and ESG strategies.
Prior to this, Morse worked in the wealth management division of Eaton Vance, where he was also CIO. Morse began his investment career at Capital Group, parent company to American Funds, where he developed his long-term investment philosophy.

Mellon Wealth Management has named Elizabeth Luk as Head of
BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware, which administers trusts for
fiduciary clients where BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware serves as
sole trustee, co-trustee, or directed trustee.
Luk will be based in Greenville, Delaware, and will report directly to Ben McGloin, head of advice, planning and fiduciary services. Luk brings nearly 15 years of trust experience to this new role, with 10 years working specifically in the Delaware Trust Administration industry.
In addition to overseeing the expansion of the Delaware trust team, Luk will participate in discretionary trust decision-making, including the review of trust structures and instruments, and will manage BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware fiduciary appointments. A commentator on trust administration topics, Luk will serve as the BNY Mellon Trust of Delaware legal subject matter expert. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Luk was the executive director and trust officer for JP Morgan Trust Company of Delaware.
A student mentor to the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware, Luk is also a member of the Delaware Bankers Association Trust conference planning committee. She has previously served on the Board of the Association of Conflict Resolution of Greater NY and has been an adjunct professor at Pace University School of Law.
