The latest wealth management industry moves in North America.

Boston Private 
Boston Private, the wealth management, trust, private and commercial banking firm, has appointed Patrick Dwyer as managing director, head of strategic business development.  Dwyer has more than 30 years of experience in the industry.

Before his new role, Dwyer served as private wealth advisor at Merrill for nearly three decades.  

“Patrick has extensive experience building and growing a holistic wealth advisory practice and managing a high-performance team,” Paul Simons, president of private banking, wealth and trust at Boston Private, said.

Dwyer will report to Simons. Dwyer earned his MBA from the University of Miami and a BA from Providence College.

Main Management
Main Management, a firm based in San Francisco, has appointed Darol Ryan as managing director. 

With nearly 17 years of experience in investment management for high net worth individuals and institutions, Ryan will focus on expanding relationships with existing and prospective clients. He will work with CEO Kim Arthur and chief operating officer Blaine Docker. Ryan previously ran TLD Capital and had director roles at Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan in New York, Hong Kong and San Francisco.

Main Management affiliates also manage a US Sector Rotation ETF and an option writing mutual fund.
