The latest moves in North America's wealth management sector.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named Shaun Skeris as a senior client strategist in Newport Beach, California.

Skeris, who started in this role on October 21, will be responsible for acquiring and advising high net worth and family office clients, reporting directly to regional president Carla Furuno.

With more than 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry, Skeris was previously managing director at Umpqua Wealth Advisory, serving as chairman of the investment committee and leading the development of Umpqua's investment strategy, portfolio recommendations and portfolio implementation. He was also a senior vice president at City National, where he acquired and managed high net worth clients, an advisor at Morgan Stanley, an analyst at PIMCO, and a vice president at Credit Suisse.

Raymond James
Raymond James, the US wealth management firm, has welcomed  advisor Ariel Bobroff to its advisor broker/dealer. He is based in Beverly Hills, California.

Bobroff joins the wealth management team in the Beverly Hills office managed by Andy Waldbaum, a part of the Los Angeles Complex managed by Chris Horner. He joins Raymond James from Merrill Lynch, where he helped manage over $600 million in client assets.

Previously in his career, Bobroff held the positions of senior vice president of wealth management at Merrill Lynch and senior vice president of investments at UBS. He is a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara.
