Here is a summary of today's moves in the world of wealth management.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has bolstered its operation in Nevada with two hires in the region.
Jeremy Hume has been appointed wealth director and vice president of the Southern Nevada region, and Douglas Gold has been appointed wealth director in the firm’s Las Vegas, Nevada office, the firm said in a statement.
Hume will report to regional president Bob Martin, and will be responsible for business development strategy in Southern Nevada, concentrating in the Henderson region. Hume will also be responsible for working with individuals and families to can help them reach their financial goals.
He has around 10 years of experience in the financial services sector, and he joins the team from Nevada State Bank, where he was a wealth advisor.
Gold will also report to Martin, and will be responsible for business development. He will serve as a member of the client service team that manages delivery of BNY Mellon’s solution suite.
Prior to joining BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Gold was an associate wealth advisor and private banker at Wells Fargo, where he specialized in building, protecting, preserving and transferring wealth for individuals and families. He has 17 years’ experience in the sector.
Raymond James
Raymond James has welcomed a former Merrill Lynch advisor who previously managed around $377 million and her team to its newly-opened Tucson, Arizona office, according to Pat Allison, the firm's Western division director.
Gail Giclas, senior vice president of investments; Gail's son and branch intern, Eli Giclas; Neva Thomason, senior client service associate; and summer intern Haley Culpepper together operate as Giclas Wealth Management of Raymond James.
Also joining Raymond James from Merrill Lynch is Stephen Neff, senior vice president of investments. He is joined by Kim Ohler, senior registered client service associate. The duo operates as Neff Wealth Management of Raymond James.
Hirtle Callaghan
Hirtle Callaghan, a prominent firm in the field of the “outsourced chief investment officer” model, has brought in Erica Evans to the newly-minted role of head of client engagement, the firm said in a statement.
Evans, who most recently served as the head of sales strategy and institutional partnerships at Hartford Funds, has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to Hartford Funds, Evans was head of sales and marketing at HIMCO, Hartford’s asset management unit. She previously worked at ING Investment Management as SVP, head of institutional business and served as head of client investment management services at GE Asset Management.
Axletree Solutions
Axletree Solutions has appointed Elaine Dorkhom as new director of compliance solutions, the firm said in a statement.
Dorkhom will be responsible for business development and delivery of solutions to new and incumbent clients. She has over 12 years of investigative analysis, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance experience.
She has worked at several regulatory bodies including Federal Reserve Bank, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS).
