Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? The Rudin Group, BNY Mellon, Others

The latest moves in wealth management across North America.

April Rudin
April Rudin, a thought-leader and marketing strategist in the wealth management industry – and a judge for the awards program of Family Wealth Report – has joined the advisory board of Mirador, a provider of portfolio management reporting solutions.

Rudin is the founder and president of The Rudin Group. Her firm, which is in its tenth year, designs marketing campaigns to boost brand value and drive client acquisition.

“Working with our other advisors – experts in financial reporting, private equity, and technology – she’ll help us identify and capture new opportunities for growth,” Mirador founder Joseph Larizza said.

“High net worth individuals, endowments, foundations, and those who serve them all need highly evolved actionable intelligence - the kind born of deeply insightful financial reporting. Were wealth managers to do this themselves, assuming they could do it at all, this kind of granular reporting would consume vast amounts of time and bury them under mountains of data; not the best place to be when searching for investment opportunities,” Rudin said.

Rudin is also a member of this publication’s editorial advisory board (full details of the new board to be issued in due course).

BNY Mellon Wealth Management
BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named Michael Rubenstein as wealth director in Naples, Florida.  Rubenstein will report to the regional president of West Coast Florida, Lisa Simington, CFP.

Rubenstein received a Bachelor of Science (BA), Cum Laude at Vanderbilt University, a Juris Doctor (J D) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami and is currently attending the Master of Laws (LLM) in taxation program at Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. He is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).

Desai will take on this new role upon Chris Molumphy’s retirement at the end of the year. Molumphy has decided to retire after serving as CIO of Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group since 2000 and 30 years with the firm. Desai joined the firm in 2009 as director of research for Templeton Global Macro.
