Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – UBS, Envestnet, Osaic, Others

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in the North American wealth management sector.

UBS
The US wealth management business of UBS has appointed a former Bank of America Private Bank figure, Jack Heiss, as market director for its Tampa, Clearwater, St Petersburg, Sarasota, and Winter Haven offices in Florida. 

Heiss will begin his role at the conclusion of his notice period.

These offices are part of the firm’s Florida wealth management market led by market executive Lane Strumlauf, which is part of the firm’s Southeast region, led by Julie Fox.

Heiss, who has 35 years of experience in the wealth management industry, most recently served in a hybrid leadership and financial advisor role at Bank of America Private Bank. He started his career at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in 1987. He also served as Florida regional director at Bank of America Investments and market leader for the firm’s global wealth and investment management divisions in Palm Beach and Tampa Bay. After Bank of America acquired Merrill Lynch, Heiss oversaw Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Central Florida.

Envestnet
Envestnet, a US-headquartered turnkey asset management program and provider of fintech-driven back-office services, has appointed Sue Quackenbush as its chief people officer, effective yesterday. 

Quackenbush brings more than 25 years of global leadership in talent strategy, cultural transformation and acquisition integrations. Most recently as CPO at Dynatrace, the software intelligence business, she led a 250-member people and culture team. She holds a master of business administration in finance from Drexel University and a bachelor of science in environmental economics from Rutgers University.

Osaic, BlueHaven Wealth Management
Osaic, a US wealth management house, has added Daniel Leugers to its network of financial advisors. A wealth management veteran of more than 25 years, Leugers has launched BlueHaven Wealth Management, a Hudson, Ohio-based firm, overseeing more than $400 million in assets under advisement.

Raymond James
Raymond James has welcomed financial advisor Eric Holbrook to its independent advisor channel. Holbrook, who was formerly at D A Davidson & Co, where he managed more than $150 million in client assets, is joined by registered client service associate Abigail Davis as well as receptionist Jan Lofthouse.

As Holbrook Wealth Strategies based in Logan, Utah, they serve a variety of clients including families and individuals, business owners, sudden wealth clients and those in or nearing retirement.

Holbrook's financial services career began in 2004, working at firms such Wells Fargo Bank, Goldman Sachs and TAB Bank. In 2013, He transitioned to financial advising at D A Davidson, working directly with clients. Holbrook is a graduate of Weber State University in Ogden, with a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications: training and development. In addition to his professional experience and education, Holbrook has obtained the Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) designation from the Cannon Financial Institute.
