Partners, an employee-owned wealth management firm based in
Stamford, Connecticut, has appointed Keith Taylor as board
chairman. Taylor, who served on its board since 2019, is also
managing director at The Cynosure Group.
Taylor is succeeding Michael McMahon, who is retiring from his formal role as chairman, Steward Partners said in a statement on Friday.
McMahon, who founded Pine Brook Partners, has served on several public company boards.
Taylor served on Steward Partners' board after the firm partnered with The Cynosure Group.
"Keith has been a trusted partner to Steward Partners from the moment our relationship began," Jim Gold, CEO of Steward Partners said.
Taylor’s experience in private equity and financial services covers more than two decades, including senior roles at The Carlyle Group, Goldman Sachs, and JP Morgan.
In his work with Cynosure, he has been involved in investments across asset management and wealth advisory businesses, and serves as a director for Savat, Avalon Advisors, Prumentum Group, and Steward Partners.
Steward Partners was launched in 2013.
