Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Silicon Valley Bank

The latest senior wealth management moves and appointments in North America.

SVB Financial Group, parent of Silicon Valley Bank, have named Kay Matthews as chair of its board of directors. She joined SVB's board in 2019, after retiring from her 36-year career at Ernst & Young where she served in several leadership roles for the global organization.

Matthews, who brings extensive experience working with technology, venture capital and private equity firms, focuses on finance, accounting and auditing. 

In addition to her role with SVB, Matthews also serves on the boards of Coherent, and Main Street Capital Corp. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Texas Tech Rawls School of Business and was named as a 2020 Distinguished Alumni of the Rawls School of Business. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas Tech University.

Matthews is succeeding former board chair Roger Dunbar, who retired from his role this year after a decade in the position.
